The tours
Tours are led by self-employed guides. We connect you with them and handle the booking; the walk itself is theirs. Routes and timings can change for weather, closures or crowds.
Free tours and tips
A free tour costs nothing to attend. Guides are paid by what people choose to give at the end. Nobody is obliged to tip, and nobody is turned away for not tipping.
Deposits and cancellation
A refundable deposit holds your spot on a free tour. Cancel more than 24 hours before and it is returned in full; inside 24 hours it is not, because the guide has by then turned other people away. If a guide cancels, you are refunded in full whatever the notice.
Membership
Membership is a recurring subscription. On the native apps it is billed through your Apple or Google account and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Partner offers depend on the partner and can change or end.
Behaviour
Be decent to your guide and to the people walking with you. Harassment, threats and abuse get an account removed. You can block anyone at any time, and report anyone whose behaviour needs looking at.
Advertising
Some listings are paid placements from local businesses. They are marked as such. We review every ad before it appears, but we do not run the businesses in them and cannot stand behind what they sell. Report anything that looks wrong and it comes down while we look.
Liability
Walking tours happen outdoors in a city. Look after yourself, your belongings and anyone you bring. We are responsible for running the booking service properly; we are not responsible for things outside our control.
