Hills, azulejos and the river — Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhood on foot.
We meet on Praça do Comércio and climb into Alfama: the lanes the earthquake of 1755 never quite erased, viewpoints over the Tagus, tiled façades, and the stories of sailors, fado houses and the people who stayed when the rest of Lisbon was rebuilt. Two and a half hours. Steep in places — wear shoes you can climb in. Bring water.
Where we meet
Praça do Comércio, under the arch
Facing the river under the Arco da Rua Augusta — your guide will meet you there.
