Barcelona Dark History Tour
Plague, pogrom and inquisition — two hours through the old city, stopping at three medieval bars.
About this walk
The Gothic Quarter is charming in daylight. This is the other version. We start on Plaça Reial after dark and work through the streets where Barcelona did its worst: the square that still carries the shrapnel, the quarter that was emptied in a single day in 1391, the courtyards where the Inquisition did its business. Between them we stop at three bars, each in a building older than most countries, and you get the story sitting down with a drink in your hand. Two hours. Drinks are not included. Over-18s only.
